The Vickers K machine gun, known in British service as the Vickers Gas Operated (Vickers GO) or Gun, Machine, Vickers GO .303-inch, was a rapid-firing machine gun developed and manufactured by Vickers-Armstrongs for aircraft use. The high rate of fire was necessary for the short period in which the gunner could fire on an attacking aircraft. The weapon was used for land use during World War II.
